The design inspiration for the Six Shooter house was drawn from the owners' extensive visits to Montana, where they immersed themselves in the region's rich history. The exterior features massive timbers and locally quarried rock that frame huge walls of windows, oriented to capture the area's incredible viewshed. Stepping into the great room, a massive, natural stone fireplace serves as the focal point, accented by heavy wood timbers arching across the high ceilings. Western art decor, accompanied by a large antler chandelier, lends a feeling of rustic elegance. Adjoining the great room, the kitchen features dual islands designed with ample culinary work space to accommodate the owners' desires to frequently entertain large groups. The formal dining room is situated across from the kitchen – open to the great room, it features the same rustic refinement. Copper inlays in the dining table and throughout the house are a tribute to Butte's mining legacy. The same copper elements are also featured in a custom-constructed daybed, built to recreate an old Pullman sleeping car tucked into a niche in the hallway. The regional focus is most apparent throughout the home's private living quarters, where every guest suite has a private bath, and each suite features unique Montana-themed decor. In essence, the Six Shooter house celebrates the state's rich heritage. Its rhythmic blend of locally inspired elements and rustic refinement make it an inviting sanctuary for hosting and relaxation while offering each guest a distinct taste of Montana's singular charm.
