  • Our crew of around 50 (field and office) builds ultra-high-end custom residential homes, self-performing all carpentry and as much labor as possible for each project

Carpenter Trainee is an entry level construction field position that requires little to no experience. Carpenter Trainees are required to perform any and all tasks from cleanliness of the job site to operation of hand power tools and light equipment. In addition, Carpenter Trainees will be required to assist Apprentice Carpenters and Journeyman Carpenters in general building.

A Lead Carpenter’s/Foremen must be able to understand the materials and procedures for advanced building techniques and perform all carpentry work necessary for custom residential construction from breaking ground to punch list completion including proper planning and productivity management. A Lead Carpenter’s/Foremen must be capable of leading and developing a crew of 5-15, Journeyman, Apprentice Carpenters and carpenters, frequently split between multiple tasks.

Lead Carpenters/Foremen are responsible for assisting the superintendent as needed. In the superintendent’s absence, they will be responsible for conducting regular safety meetings and carrying out company safety policies.

Superintendents must have the ability to run jobs, small and large, read blueprints, order materials, motivate crews, conduct general meetings and safety meetings, train new employees, and follow/uphold company safety rules. Duties include consulting with PM and subcontractors on design issues and/or change directives. Superintendents are responsible for conducting weekly safety meetings and the implementation of company safety policies.

Superintendents are responsible for management of the job site. Management responsibilities include keeping abreast of crew and employee challenges and successes, ensuring job site efficiency while mandating safety, and upholding employee morale. Superintendents are also responsible for enforcing scheduled hours of work for their crew.

The Superintendent position is a blended role. This position is a “bags on” field leadership position. The Superintendent must be a Journeyman Carpenter; therefore, following the required skills and abilities of a Journeyman Carpenter and the below requirements of the leadership role. Please refer to the attached Journeyman Carpenter Job Description for detailed expectations of that role which are also expectations of this role.

The Controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This includes monthly financial reporting, maintenance of accounting systems, and comprehensive set of controls and budgets to mitigate risk. This includes general ledger and sub ledger adjustments and reconciliations. The Controller is also responsible for managing the processing of weekly in-house payroll and cross training to complete this task when needed.
