Site Selection & Analysis (case study)


For this home we helped the client evaluate several driveway and home envelope placement options for their lot. Since they had already purchased the lot and the natural inclinations made building within setback constraints cost prohibitive. Blue Ribbon Builders worked with the Architect to receive a zoning variance approval from the county. Presenting the clients desired driveway option we received unanimous approval from the county.


Applying for a building permit is just one of the steps that take place in the pre-construction phase of the project. Structures are not allowed to break the skyline view from certain roadways. In applying for building permits for these two homes we had to illustrate the height of the finished home so the county planning department could confirm that we were in compliance with this regulation. For both of these homes we were able to achieve this approval while still maintaining the design aesthetic and views the owners desired.
